Throwback review – meaning a review I blogged way back in my My Space days and am now relocating here.
Friends and Lovers by Eric Jerome Dickey
At first, I admit, I didn’t take to some of these characters (Shelby and Tyrel) or relate to their world, though I readily warmed to some others (Debra and Leonard). I especially liked Leonard. But I ended up caring about all of their fates as the book navigated the complex terrain of making relationships work, the bad choices people sometimes make and the prices paid, and life’s sometimes brutal twists and turns – all within the milieu of hip, entertaining, urban fiction.
